Similar to what I do, for three reasons...
1 -Personal preference
2 - I'm trying to evangelize AS here at the newspaper. It's therefore
important that my code is easy for others to read, especially in the really
tiny scripts I'm giving people to do simple, repetitive, mundane things.
I'm hoping for the "AHA!" factor to kick in with some of them so they start
writing their own.
3 - Some of the scripts I've written/am writing are complex chunks of code
that are designed to automate entire pieces of workflow. In those cases,
it's important for anyone to be able to open them up and between naming
conventions and comments quickly understand what is happening so that when
something breaks it can be fixed.
