This might get posted twice as I accidentally submitted this with a
unsubscribed email account as well. I'm having trouble working with
invisible files with Applescript in MacOS X. When I name them, I get the
error: "Finder got an error: Can't get file blah of folder blah . . . ",
even with the reveal command, meant to reveal invisible files. Using
ResEdit to set the visibility bit to Visible, I can then work with the
same file in AppleScript. So, is there a way to work with them in the
MacOS X Finder using AppleScript? Any advice and/or examples would be
appreciated. Thank you.

I like systems, their application excepted. (George Sand, translated
from French), "J'aime les systhmes, leur application exceptie."
