of publicly archived discussions that reach that far back. I hope you can

not that i think everyone should read 23 years of archives
before daring to post anything anywhere, but folks might
like to know that Usenet discussions dating back to about
1979 are archived in their entirety on Google. it seems that
the first Usenet posts on AppleScript were in 1989:
