If you "do shell script ifconfig en0 inet NewIPAddr" it'll switch the IP until restart. Also, the change won't be reflected in the network system pane.

During the applescript session @ WWDC, one of the speakers mentioned that the preference pane's in jaguar would be scriptable. Is this something that wasn't implemented in the builds that were given out?
