Applescript Gurus!
I am looking for some help, and I think Applescript could solve my problem.
I want to send a receive email from my pager. Simple. Not a problem.
I do not want my clients to use the actual pager email address, which is
something like email@hidden. I figure the best way to solve
this is to set up a special email account on my domain, and set a rule in
Entourage and have all the mail sent to this address forwarded to my pager.
(If you have a better idea, please let me know)
Here is the complicated part.
I want to respond to the emails via my pager, but I want my regular email
address to show, not the cryptic email address of the pager.
I believe there is a way using an AppleScript that I can send the outgoing
email to my server (from my pager), have the pagers email address 'stripped
out' and have one of my business email address inserted, and then have
Entourage on my server send the email to my client.
The complicated part is this....I need to send it to my server, and have it
change the recipient from my server email address to the clients address
(figure that I would put the clients address on say the first line of the
outgoing message.) Get it?
That is:
Message from client to me at computer address: email@hidden to
email@hidden
Computer routes to pager :email@hidden to
email@hidden
Reply to alt address on my server: email@hidden to
email@hidden (this message would contain the actual recipients
name within say the first line of the text) (or can you think of a better
way?)
Server sends message back to client: email@hidden to
email@hidden
Thank you for any help!
