How to add text to the beginning of a file

Here's one I can't figure out. I need to add text to a file at the
beginning of a file. (I know how to add it to the end of a file {write
theText to file TheFile starting at eof}
Any Ideas? This is a tab delimited file that I've exported from Filemaker
that I need to add the field names to, at the beginning of the file.
Hope someone has an idea.
