I just wanted to mention an application I've started using in OS X. It's
called DragThing (
http://www.dragthing.com/) and it's fantastic. It
allows me to customize the way I work with OS X. It's fully AppleScript
recordable and takes advantage of Aqua. Plus, if you Control+Click on an
icon you can burrow down through it's folders without opening it up.
It also works with OS 8.6 +, but I haven't tried it.
I know there are a few other utilities similar to this one, but take a
look at DragThing, especially if you think the Dock has limitations or
like to work quickly.
I don't work for whoever makes this thing, but if they want to send me
money - rock on!
