A modest request?

  • Subject: A modest request?

I'm still trying to learn AS, and having a terrible time. As a very simple example, can anyone please post something very easy script? What I've been trying to do for practice is to have the OS X application Mail compose a new email to myself with a subject of "test" and a message of "this is a test" and send it.

There's nothing important about this, I just thought it'd be a no brainer and a good way to learn a bit more about AS, but I just can't get it.

Any ideas on how to do this? I hope once I start seeing AS in action it'll make more sense, especially using the dictionary. I really don't understand why the dictionary will say "compose message" is an property of the Mail Suite (which is the object, right?), but everything I try says I'm doing something wrong.

Any help to a newbie?

Thanks!

Russ Conte
