I think I speak for most of us when I say that I prefer updated implementations to work more intuitively, more consistently and with fewer bugs, over compatibility with older scripts. There's not exactly a lot of scripts out there to be compatible with.

This sounds really great! I'm glad you've been able to find the time to do this. Apart from filling in the impersonal wishlist/feedback form on the Palm website is there anything else we can do to hasten the release of this stuff?
[Has anyone involved in the Palm website ever read the cluetrain manifesto?]
