Yes, as of Quicktime 6, you can save an export settings file for a given kind of export. This would typically include compression settings, width/height and all those kinds of things. When you go to export thereafter you can use this settings file.

I have made a couple of scripts to do this, one to save the export settings file, and another to export using it. Availaable here:

Even in QT 5.1 you can perform one export manually and then use 'most recent settings'. Check my articles at www.workingmac.com for more details.
