Isn't it possible just to put in some temporary AppleEvent code until
Cocoa can handle basic items? What I'm saying is that it's been a long
wait to get the basic edit menu items handled and if they're going to
continue to drag their butts about it, the Mail team could jump to hero
status in my book by implementing a temp solution.

I assume you're not talking about Applescript here? I've actually not

It's a Macintosh convention. Usta be that when modal dialogs were "Yes"
and "No", we could just type 'n' to cancel out. Even Script Editor handles
the 'd' one. This convention could be applicable to any window where there
isn't a text box in focus. For instance, when just viewing messages,
number of the unix keys from say 'pine' could be implemented so as to make
those converts feel a little more at home.

Sheesh, it was just a polite request.
