The serious business of rooting out cant, hypocricy, and venality in British
public life continues as vigorously as ever, but the overall format has
remained essentially unchanged for more than 30 years. To some, that makes
it tired, to others, comfortably familiar. It still has teeth, and its
current editor keeps it visible by serving as 'team captain' on a
long-running BBC news quiz, 'Have I Got News For You'.
