URL Access 2.3 - the extension, not URL Access Scriting - comes with system 9.1 as updated.
URL Access 2.4.1 comes with MacOS 9.2
The 2.3 version does not do SSL or HTTPS correctly either with AS 1.8.3 or with iCab 2.8 which offers a choice of URL Access or Open SSL.
The 2.4.1 version works but it's not "certified" for Mac OS 9.1 and the 8500.
But it works on the 8500! Well, of course I'm not sure of that for all purposes, but it's doing my job. All I had to do was to replace the URL Access extension with a copy of the one on my G4. I suppose a next step would be to try that in MacOS 8.6 but I doubt that I shall get there before OSXI is out.
