I view discouraging the spread of perl as a civic duty. It's like kudzu.
[sigh]
OK, I am formally announcing the creation of a new organization,
The Classic AppleScript Users Consortium for Unix Sanity, (CAUCUS).
As soon as we come up with a dogmatic collection of axioms and heartfelt
beliefs, I will post them. Here are the first few:
(With apologies to Jeff Foxworthy...)
1. If you can find a way to use the so called words "sed", "awk", and
"egrep" in a single sentence, you just might be unix-insane.
2. If you consider "oux", "fank", "hhj", "clak" or "fother" to be words,
you might just be unix-insane.
;-)
P.S. The acronym CAUCUS is currently pending trademark status, as Nigel
Garvey and I are attemping to find a funnier use for it. ;-)
