Hi,
In my continuing effort to move to the present I started looking at
the application "Address Book". I have been using Address Book since
version 3.7, 1995. Currently "Address Book 4.2.6.3, by Jim Smith
Software. Now it appears that Apple has created it's own version,
same name, no version number. I can live with that, but what I can't
live with is the "NEW" Address Book won't do envelopes. Sounds a lot
like microsoft politics.
Any comments?
It just sounds to me as if it's an Address Book and not a word processor.
What's not excusable is that its own AppleScripting messes it up so much as
to make it unusable for syncing to all the "digital hub" apps that are
supposed to provide its reason for being. (See my previous thread on AB
scripting.)
It seems to me that printing envelopes is something that you or I
might do with an address. More in line with the software's purpose
than asking us to keep our address books in a word processer.
