Why does a compiled script's file size shrink when you log out?

Hi,

This must have come up before, but I couldn't find any references. The
Finder reports the script size as 104k. Log out, log in, and the size is now
36k. Recompile the script--don't even run it--and now its 104k again. What
explains that?

Mike
