Problems saving as "Application" under Jaguar

  • Subject: Problems saving as "Application" under Jaguar

I've got some scripts that run fine while in Script Editor, but won't run when I compile them (either as a compiled script or an application). When I run these scripts I get a generic message "Couldn't run the scripts {blah} because of a program error". I've seen the same thing happen on two machines - both running OS 10.2.1

Thing is, some of these scripts are Apple's own "Examples" scripts. The one I tested is /Library/Scripts/Finder Scripts/Replace Text in Item Names.scpt.

Any idea what's going on here?
