You can save them as "old style" scripts by choosing the lower-case

"compiled script" option in the "Save As..." dialog "Format" popup.

That seems to remember window position in a way that Script Editor can

Bill:
Window size and position are not retained the first time the script is saved
even choosing the lower-case "compiled script" option. If the script is
closed after the first save and then reopened, it appears as a small window
in a default position.
The window information is remembered equally well after the first save for
both "Compiled Script" (data fork) and "compiled script" (resource fork)
files. However, the information is lost again when doing a "Save As".
At least, that's what I'm seeing on my machine with Script Editor 1.9. Gee,
is this something specific to my setup or are others observing the same
behavior?
