Rob,
Interesting. Perhaps you could change ownership or the writeable attributes of
the preference file from the terminal to prevent losing your settings...I'm
guessing (com.apple.internetconfig.plist) would be the one. I am not a unix
authority by any means, so proceed at your own risk.
According to Apple's KnowledgeBase, you're only supposed to be able to use the
software base station from OS 9.x It's not officially supported from OS X at
all. How do you do this? I'm interested in setting up my G4 as a base station
for using my powerbook remotely, so any info you can provide would be
appreciated. Thanks.
