simple paste of current date/time?

hello
I'm a super novice to applescript Mommy with no time to figure out how to
make applescript insert the current date and time formated to "Mon, 21 Oct 02
at 2:33PM" at the cursor point whenever I press the F-11 key on my powerbook
in any application. Can anyone give me a simple solution and email it to me
too at email@hidden ?
