Well, to me the X-settings are less bad than the Windows Eudora "edit the
.ini" file solution. Or sending cryptic numbers to Eudora in an
AppleScript line.

The method does
1. keep a lot of useless-to-most-people settings out of the regular UI,
while
2. keeping them available to those who simply must twiddle.

"Most," above, is probably 99% for most of the settings...there are a few
which perhaps should be moved into Esoteric Settings.
