Clear Text passwords

Does anyone know if you can force Mount Volume to use clear text passwords
in OS X, even if that preference is not checked? I have an app that mounts
a remote share and it requires a clear text password. I've had a few users
that had problems with the app because they didn't have "Allow Clear Text
password" checked.
