Newb question

Hi all.

I've recently started to delve into apple script by opening Script Editor and then opening dictionaries. Little did I know how powerful it is! I'm trying to learn by doing so I've written a couple of script. I'm working on a new script pretty much to let a friend of Mine start a VNC server on my box and use the computer. Unfortunately the app that is the server isn't scriptable. I can get it to open easy enough and all I need the script to do act as If I had pressed the enter key. Is there a way to have apple script virtually press keys?

TIA
