Yes, I should have thought of that because it's an old problem from OSA Menu. I don't know if Apple have based Script Menu on Leonard's code but I wouldn't be surprised.

I have no problem interacting with the user with a script run from Script Menu.

Yes, I didn't do a lot of testing, and now you've pointed out the reason, everything's working OK.

But there must be a way to get rid of this inconvenience. It is peculiar to OSA Menu and Script Menu; it does not affect other people's script menus.

Besides, if you have the script in Smile (and probably SD) you don't get this behaviour, so it's something that needs fixing either in Script Menu or in Script Editor or both. There's no problem with Script Runner either.
