I wrote a short applet, and I saved it as an Application in Script
Editor
1.9 (Jaguar). It worked, both when run in SE and when double-clicked
in the
Finder. Then I encountered two problems:
1. I went to Save As a Compiled Script, and I got an error message
saying SE
couldn't write because of a disk error. I tried to Save As Text; same
error.
I tried to Save As an Application again; no problem.
Known bug (#3004656 ) Can't re-save an AppleScript application to a
compiled script. Which was fixed too late for Jaguar.
