For what it is that is what it should do. AS Studio is a glue to the
GUI. Which is a different beast than the program logic. I have some
ideas that I need to play around with but they may be both cool and
useful.

You can click the buttons in
an AS Studio app via script, but there's no provision AT ALL for
application specific events.

Yes, It would be nice to be able to make a script object and give it a
name and attach a script to a button, document or widget and then all
instances of that button doc or widget would have knowledge of the
script.

Like HyperCard?
