If you're sending to the same machine, try 127.0.0.1 as the IP address. I believe this is the universal code for "this machine."

Okay. I've put the user and password and into the machine address as
above. Now when I try to compile I get the -916 port error. The IP
address is for the same machine that I am compiling the script on.
Should that matter?

Yes. It's probably trying to send the event to it's own port 916.
I am a bit unclear about your IPs, but the IP in the command should be
that of the remote box that you are targeting.

Any other ideas what's causing the port error? I think I've found all
of the places where everything needs to be turned on.
Thanks.
