Trying to AppleScript Jaguar Mail to get around the stunning lack of "show only unread messages".

Problem #1: get selection returns an empty set if only a folder (mailbox) is highlighted. If any message is highlighted, you can get the folder from that, but that's not quite as elegant.

Problem #2: no AppleScript handler equivalent to View > Focus on Selected Messages.

Any thoughts?

Other than neither of these are currently implemented in Mail, no. We're working on issues related to this for the next release.
