OS 10.2.1 -
I have a script in my scripts menu that asks some questions then parses a
text file and saves it. the next time u run the script it asks those
questions again, and makes the default answers based on the previous answers
from the last time it was run using set properties.
this script has run for months perfectly.
now when I ran it, it worked the first time, then when I chose it the second
time, it highlighted in the menu but nothing happened. I opened my scripts
folder and double clicked the script and the finder gave me "Could not
complete the last command because the file was not found (-43). the script
is there. it even has the a file size in the get info box. attempts to open
it in both script editor and script debugger yield the same outcome.
trying to open it with ResEdit in Classic yields "this script is too damaged
to be repaired."unfortunately it was my only copy as ScriptMenu stupidly
doesn't allow for aliases (although if its corrupting the file, its gonna
corrupt the original too).
so I rebuilt it. ran from script debugger great - over and over. then I
tried it from the script menu and it worked! the first time. then it
corrupted it again. (this time I made a backup of my whole folder).
can anyone help me out?
