I totally agree it's a fantastic program. I've been pimping it everywhere I can - including several times on this ListServ. It's easily worth the money and pays for itself in minutes.

This is from the "Welcome to Text-Edit!" document included in the download-
"Feel free to give Tex-Edit Plus (with this document) to anyone. You may use Tex-Edit Plus for as long as you wish (i.e., there is no time limit on the trial period). You are under no moral obligation to send in the Shareware fee and you are under no obligation to erase the program if you dont pay the fee. Simply think of the Shareware fee as a much-appreciated way to encourage future development and to say thank you!"

So many times I hear people say "This is for a non-profit" or "I gotta get this job done and my boss/mom/girlfriend doesn't want to spend any money". Text-Edit Plus can be a solution.

Definitely, send in your registration money. But if you can't, according to Text-Edit Plus's documentation, you can still sleep at night and look at yourself in the mirror.

I'm sure Tom Bender, the author of Tex-Edit Plus, would be very surprised to hear that his product is free. It's shareware and its ridiculously low price is $15. We need to support people like Tom, who turns out a superior product at a minimal price. People who use shareware without paying for it are scum. No. They're worse than scum because scum floats to the top. They're that greasy, slimy stuff that sinks to the bottom. But that's just my opinion. I've been known to be wrong.
