As Steve said, the ASLG was written for AS 1.3.7 - that's OS 8.6. There have
indeed been changes since May 1999, in AS 1.4., 1.4.3, 1.5.5, 1.6, 1.7
(forget that one), 1.8.1, 1.8.3 and 1.9. Release notes are still available
for most of those at Apple, with summaries at
http://www.aplescriptsourcebook.com.
