Disk Copy Logical Block Size

I'm trying to script Disk Copy and am having trouble figuring out
how to determine the logical block size that I need to set. I will
know in advance the total size of all folders as reported by the
Finder. How can I translate this into a disk image that is only big
enough for the selected items (it can be a little bigger, I'm just
trying to cut down on the overhead of unnecessary disk space). I
also need to limit the size to no larger than a CD can hold.

Apparently in Disk Copy, 1K = 2 blocks, but I can't find the
correlation between this and the numbers I have to put into my
script to get a disk image of a certain size.

Thanks.
