Under 10.1.x, this:
do shell script "defaults write \"Apple Global Domain\"
AppleScrollBarVariant DoubleBoth"
produced double scroll arrows at both top and bottom of the scroll bar.
Sadly, it doesn't seem to work with 10.2. Is this the end of the line?
