Can't read iPhoto disctionary

I decided to try my hand at scripting iPhoto... and trying to open the dictionary in Script Editor I get "Could not read the dictionary of the application or extension because of an Apple event error". Script Debugger 3.04 gives me "Couldn't complete the last command because the application or extension is not scriptable."

Deleted iPhoto and the pref file from `/Library/Preferences and reinstalled to no avail. Any suggestions welcome.
