Hello. I have a PowerBook G4 running Jaguar that will be shared among a
pool of users. I'd like to script Internet Connect (IC) so that it will
prompt for a username and password before dialing in.
I've got a fledgling script that does prompt for username and password, but
it appears that the "connect" command for IC requires a phone number
whenever you use it. You can't just say "connect as user user_id with
password passwd" and expect IC to use the default phone number.
We have two valid phone numbers for dial-in. Can someone suggest a way that
I can set up a drop-down list where the user can select one of the two phone
numbers, and then continue to enter their username and password? I've
looked at AppleScript Studio, but frankly, can't make head or tail of it,
and it seems to be overkill for such a simple script.
Thanks for any help or suggestions.
