If you are having to use an external applet/application, then it isn't a
filter action. It's an event passing mechanism. A filter action would be an
action in a filter or a rule, (whichever term you prefer), that says, "run
AppleScript" or something quite similar. That option does not exist as a
filter action in Eudora 5.2.1, therefore, you cannot kick off an applescript
as a filter action.
Of course, maybe the Eudora staff is too busy trying to explain fine, easy
to understand filter terminology like "intersects nickname" and "intersects
address book" to implement a filter action that kicks off Applescripts.
Heck, even Mail can do that. Now, if "make personality" really worked in the
meat world, then we'd all have happier lives.
