Droplets

Is it possible to make a droplet that will work when selected text is
dropped? I have a tracker on a website that shows the IP addresses of
the visitors to my site. I'd like to be able to select the text, drag
the text to a droplet, and send that IP address to the terminal to do a
"traceroute".

I also tried "get selection..." (think that if I could just select the
text I could then pass it on to the Terminal...) but got errors from
both Internet Explorer and Safari. I would rather have a droplet-type
thing, though, because it would be compatible with any program from
which you can drag a piece of text.
