Hi Josh et al.,
I am not sure I understand this at all. I do not even appear to have
something called ResEdit.
What are BNDL and FREF resources anyway? What is the plst resource?
sorry if I am dumb here, I kind of expected this to 'just work'. I
asked a friend about what this meant and he
said "Gawd. This is all because the finder is Carbon. Yes I know what
he means but it's fiddly resource-fork
tweaking shit... can't be bothered."
Erk!

I had to make an AppleScript for use as the email client on lab
computers. Thanks to those on this list who helped me pull it off.
I would suggest changing the creator code to something unique,
altering the signature of the plst resource to the same (OS X only),
and modifying the BNDL and FREF resources to have entries for
postscript. I used the venerable ResEdit for this. Note that doing all
of this can cause some editors to no longer recognize your script
application as such. I use Smile, which pops an error message about
not finding the dictionary of my script, but otherwise deals with it
well. Restart, and see what happens.
Sincerely,
