I use DragThing to create palettes which appear only in the desired application (and DragThing). In these palettes, I place scripts which are stored in the Script Menu directories. I have palettes for Safari, Eudora, the Finder and more. They minimize until you click on them, whereupon they expand so that you can click the desired script, and I've set my scripts to minimize the palette since DragThing itself is scriptable. I use palettes with just the name of the file, although you can override that for any script. It works quite well.
