Scripting System Preferences

OK, here's the deal

I'm trying to script System Preferences with System Events and i'm having
some problems with a couple of them:

- I cant select of deselect a language in International > (tab) Language >
(button) Edit

- I cant choose a region in either 'Date', 'Time' or 'Number' of
International

- I cant select a screen effect in 'Screen Effects'

- I cant set a unique value to ONE slider when there are more than one in
the same window> Example: I cant select 'Never' for Sleep Time in 'Energy
Saver' while using 1 hour for Display Sleep. And in the Mouse pref pane, I
cant figure out how to give unique values to each of the three sliders
there.

These are the only elements left to script, and it would save me a lot of
time if i could finish that 'System Configuration' script.

Any piece of help is appreciated :o)
