Hi Emmanuel.
Thanks for setting me straight... ;-)
I'll have a more through look at Smile, and learn from there!
I know about the handler popup and actually, it's some of the features
I miss in SE..
What I mean, is in the Dictionary window. The 'overview' pane at the
left. I find that very useful. Popup's for this is only good if you
know the guts of the dictionary already. And if you know it, why keep
it open?
The important here, is that the Dictionary(s) is an educational tool,
so saving screen real-estate should at least be an option. If it's a
reference (as for a power user), then maybe it should be a 'palette'
instead, showing the details when asked to. It just has to have an
option for being 'the ting' you're looking at.
Hope it makes my thoughts a little more clear...

No! At least not in the Dictionary (as of 2.5.2)
Jakob is right, that's not handled too properly. I'll note that for
the future release.
Also, I actually kind of like the way SE has an 'outline' pane to the
left... Makes it a little easier to get a quick overview of the
Dictionary
Smile has a "Handler" menu in the toolbar, which is as handy and saves
much screen space.
Like, where is the Event Log?????? I use this A LOT!
Now, I could do a gazillion 'log myVar', but that should not be
necessary...
Pardon me in advance if I'm stupid, but did you read Smile help, in
particular the pages where they explain how to debug in text windows?
We do not provide the Event Log in order to help you make the leap to
Smile. I recommend that you make it.
Emmanuel
