UI Scripting deep menus

I'm having difficulty getting System Events to go very deep

In Eudora, I want to select:

Menubar -> Message -> Change -> Character Set -> Traditional Chinese

But I can get no further than having the Message menu down with "Change" selected.

Is there a way of doing this ?
