BOSTON APPLESCRIPT USER GROUP "BAUG" MEETING

The Boston AppleScript User Group will be meeting on Tuesday,
April 22 at MIT Building E51, Room 372. This is located at the corner of
Wadsworth and Amherst Streets one block off Memorial Drive. Parking is
available in the lot on Hayward Street after 4pm for free. Below is a link
to map for details.

This month we have two presentations, both by fellows named Bob. Bob #1
is Bob Powers-So, Macintosh Technician for Lowell Public Schools. Bob #1
will demonstrate his use of AppleScript to build and maintain the many
desktop computers in the Lowell Public School system. Using
Apple Software Restore Bob has automated the process of building,
or rebuilding, desktop machines by applying a customized disk image.

Bob #2 is Bob Anderson, PDF and Postscript expert. Bob #2 is a regular
presenter at Seybold Seminars on scripting and he will be presenting at
Planet PDF's PDF Conference to be held in June. This Bob will be
demonstrating several techniques for working with text files- creating
text files, appending to text files, and searching text files using
AppleScript. He will demonstrate the use of BBEdit as a tool for working
with text files. He will also present a beginner level demonstration of
editing a postscript file.

Beginners are encouraged to attend this meeting and bring your questions.
