Wow!
I thought this would be a really simple question to answer, but no one
has made any comments at all. I guess positioning icons for both OS 9
and OS X is more tricky than I realized.
If anyone here has any pointers to other scripts, osaxen, utilities,
etc., I'd really appreciate it.
I also need to set a custom icon that appears both on OS 9 and OS X.
Thanks!

Hi!
I'm writing an AppleScript to help me automate CD mastering. This
AppleScript needs to run under OS X (10.2.5).
What it currently does is create a new disc image (using Disk Copy)
and copies the files that need to go on the image. No problem.
Additionally, It needs to place these files at specified locations on
the disc image and this placement needs to work regardless whether the
image is opened under OS 9 or OS X.
Finally, it needs to set a custom disk icon for the mounted volume.
Has anyone done something like this? I can get the icon placement to
work for OS X, but it never looks correct under OS 9. I have not
figured out how to place a custom icon on the mounted disk copy > volume.
I did go through the archives and found some suggestions on icon
placement, but it only seems to work on either OS 9 or OS X, but not
for both OSes.
Thanks for any hints or suggestions you can offer!
