Two options:

1: If you're in a AppleScript Studio App, then you have access to the 'defaults' domains in pure AS.

2: If you're in a AS Script (files/app..) then you will have to use 'defaults read ...' command via 'do shell script'.

BTW: Where is this file located? Can't seem to find it.... :-/
