Eric

There are quite a few examples given in the AppleScript Studio folder that should demonstrate how to set and check UI values. Also there are a couple of PDF documents that are very useful for getting to grips with Studio: 'Building Applications With AppleScript Studio' and the 'AppleScript Studio Terminology Reference'. There is an AppleScirpt Studio list that will be better suited your questions.

Greetings,

I'm experimenting with building a GUI for some scripts I've written
to query an SQL database. I'm working with the AppleScript Studio/
Project Builder IDE. I've got a window built which has a number of
controls in it, and have figured out how to specify handlers for
certain actions like clicking on a button, selecting an item from
a menu, etc. My real question now is how to use AppleScript to
manipulate the properties of the objects in the window. For example,
if I want to look at the value of a check box or store a new value
in an editable text area...where in the world do I find out what
properties all of these objects have?

Eric.
