No, "me" is the application that the script is running under, not the
compiled script file. If the script has never been saved, and "me"
referred to the script file, there would be an automatic error whenever
it was run.
But when I double click the app, the first item of ls
(path to me) is not path of "script editor" as before,
but the real path of "Bug Test" app, that is,
"system:Users:louie:Desktop:Bug Test".
That is correct.
For what it is worth, your dropplet works perfectly well on my system
(OS X 10.2.5, SE 2.0 beta); it returns the path to, and name of, the
dropped item (or the first dropped item, if more than one is dropped).
