That's more than I can do. If I want to mount my X machine's drive on my
8.6's desktop, I have to reboot the X machine into 9.2.2. That's not too
inconvenient as it's only in X when I don't need it for anything useful,
but it would be nice to be able to transfer files occasionally while it's
in the X state. My current mounting script (using AppleTalk over
Ethernet) is:

mount volume "PowerBook HD" on server "Nigel Garvey9s PowerBook" as
user name ,
"Nigel Garvey" with password [censored]

This doesn't work when X is running on the PowerBook. I've tried changing
the details to those of my X "account", to no avail. What's the secret?
