Anyway, should there be a project to revive HC (the true one, that
from
Atkinson/Apple), I would be happy to contribute, even for an
infinitesimal part
I never used HC, although I'm aware of its legendary status. I have,
however, been dabbling with an authoring package called Revolution,
which
appears to claim direct lineage from HC. Does anyone familiar with
both have
any insights into how the two compare with regard to features and
usability?
Nick-
I've used Revolution for a while. There are a lot of fundamental
similarities with HC. In some ways more capabilities means the
interface is more complicated than HC, but after three of four sessions
exploring, then building some standalone's. XML/SOAP back end is
straight forward. IDE is what took the time to get used to only because
HC's were so deeply rooted.
I like it.
