Setting Acrobat Job Options

Hi,
Is it possible to set Acrobat Distiller 5.05 job options when using the PDF
filter out of Quark Xpress 4.11? My script doesn't actually call Distiller
but prints to a "Create Adobe PDF" desktop printer through Quark's PDF
filter 1.6. This works reliably and I'd like to avoid printing to
PostScript from Quark.
If this isn't possible is there a way to open Distiller in a script, change
job options and then close Distller. It looks like the job options property
is read only?
